METHOD

The greatest leverage in a company is how leadership teams work around strategy.

In many companies, strategy is developed very well. Presentations, workshops, goals and initiatives are created. Yet after a few months, the company returns to day-to-day operations.

Strategy does not disappear because it was bad. Most often, it disappears because leadership teams have no system for working around strategy and execution.

Strategy without execution is a presentation.

Execution without strategy is firefighting.

And that is exactly what I work on with business owners, CEOs and leadership teams.

PREMISE

Strategy alone doesn't change a company. What changes it is how leadership teams work.

If the leadership team has no clear system for making decisions, setting priorities, and regularly reviewing progress — strategy gradually loses its relevance.

That is why a key element is the leadership team’s operating system around strategy.

I call this system the Management Operating System™

Its purpose is to ensure that strategy is present in the company’s daily decisions.

FOUNDATIONS

What the approach is built on

A combination of three elements supported by proven strategic management principles.

1. Clear strategic thinking

Diagnosis, choices, direction — not a wish list

2. Execution discipline

Priorities, work rhythm, consistent delivery

3. Systems perspective

The organization as a whole, not a collection of silos

MODEL

Management Operating System™

It is built on three elements and five implementation steps.

Strategic Direction

Where we’re heading and why

Real Priorities

What we focus on

Leadership Operating Rhythm

How we work with strategy every day

5-STEP PROCESS

1.

Clear strategic thinking

2.

Defining strategic direction

3.

Selecting the most important priorities

4.

Building the operating rhythm

5.

Learning and evolving strategy during execution

Strategy is not a one-time document. It evolves during execution and is constantly verified by the organization’s experience.

IN PRACTICE

How does this system work?

Strategy defines the direction. Key priorities derive from it. The leadership working system is built around those priorities.

This way of working gradually translates into how the entire organization operates. Strategy truly comes to life in the company.

OUTCOME

Fewer things. Better decisions.

The result is greater organizational focus and better strategic decisions. Companies do fewer things simultaneously, but execute what truly matters far more effectively.

Strategy stops being a document. It becomes a way of running the company.

I help business owners, CEOs and leadership teams turn strategy into action.

Together, we build the Management Operating System™ — a system for working around strategy and execution.
